I was walking to Wilson Hall on the MSU Campus when this happened this morning, but I didn’t hear any booming noises. I heard some sirens but figured it was related to reckless drivers and freshly snow-covered roads. A little before 8:30 am, “an explosion apparently caused by a gas leak Thursday morning leveled a downtown building, sent debris and flames towering and shattered glass windows blocks away.” A fire is still going I believe, and downtown is closed, because they are not sure exactly what caused the fire. My university just sent out
A local restaurant was destroyed. No reports yet on injuries, but I hope anyone in the building or nearby is okay. A little excitement in a rather quiet town!
